Best-selling young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.

An official for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the conclusion was made after an review of allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards young women.

The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies internationally in 55 languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.

A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.

He has published in excess of 40 works altogether, which features a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.

His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
