Trump Welcomes Relatives of Shot Guard Personnel to the White House
Former President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that he has invited the relatives of a National Guard member fatally shot last week to come to the presidential home.
He noted that he spoke to her family and they were âheartbrokenâ.

Soldier Sarah Beckstrom, 20, was lost her life in a attack on last Wednesday in DC.
Her fellow service member, Andrew Wolfe, 24, is still in the hospital in grave state.
Memorials across the state have occurred in their memory.
White House Offer
The commander-in-chief explained heâs discussed a meeting at the presidential residence for the parents of both individuals of the state Guard.
âI said: âWhen youâre ready, because thatâs a tough thing, visit the White House. Weâre going to honor Sarah,â the president addressed journalists. âAnd likewise with Andrew, whether he recovers or not.â

Attendees gathered over the weekend at Webster County high school in West Virginia to pay respects to Sarah.
Both they had been serving with the military unit as part of the presidentâs national effort to aid law enforcement in the capital.

âSarah was the kind of student that instructors wished for. She carried herself with quiet strength, a warm expression and a upbeat demeanor that inspired people around her,â Jarrod Hankins, the principal of Beckstromâs alma mater, informed the Associated Press. âShe was caring, caring and always willing to assist people.â
Service arrangements for Beckstrom are still being arranged.
Legal Measures and Policy Revisions
Law enforcement have indicted a 29-year-old suspect with one count of murder and charges of assault with intent to kill while armed.
The event led the administration to suspend asylum processing and halt issuing entry permits to possessors of Afghan passports.
Condition of Andrew Wolfe
Wolfe, a native of Martinsburg, started his military career in 2019 and is a graduate of Musselman High, according to the Associated Press.
He is still undergoing care and is âin a critical fightâ, West Virginia leader Patrick Morrisey stated on Fox News Channelâs The Sunday Briefing.
The stateâs top lawyer Pam Bondi stated on the program that she planned to meet with his relatives.
Legacy of Beckstrom
Beckstrom, from Summersville, completed her education from her high school in mid-2023 and enlisted soon after, serving as a law enforcement officer with excellence, per the state guard.
âShe had a lot of compassion and she absolutely had courage,â Morrisey told the gathering at the vigil. âThough her life lasted far too short, she has left a mark thatâs going to last forever.â
